Nova Scotia Deer zones Zone 112
Deer Management Zone 112, Nova Scotia
Coming soon to Huntable. Nova Scotia is the next province in the app. These pages are here now so you can plan the season; join the Nova Scotia list to hear when it’s ready.
Deer Management Zone 112 covers about 4,538 km² of Nova Scotia, around Baddeck, Chéticamp and Ingonish.
About 32% of the zone is provincial Crown land, where you can hunt in season under the general rules. The rest is mostly private: the right to hunt doesn’t include the right to enter it, so ask the owner first.
Deer zones matter most for antlerless deer: you can only take an antlerless deer in Zone 112 with an antlerless draw permit for Zone 112. Antlered deer seasons are the same province-wide.
In Cape Breton’s Moose Management Zones 2, 3 and 4, rifles, shotguns and muzzleloaders are prohibited for bear from Sep 14 to Oct 11 (ministerial order).
